Meet Dr Bell
(MBBSLond, FRCP, MRCPrheum)
Dr Bell qualified from University College London in 2003 and undertook higher specialist training within the West Midlands including at a regional specialist centre for rheumatic disease.
She is a Consultant Rheumatologist at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust providing NHS clinics at Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon Hospitals and prior to this held a rheumatology consultant post in Worcester for several years.
She has a broad base of experience and knowledge in general rheumatology but has a particular interest in inflammatory arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis. Dr Bell continues to expand her knowledge and keep abreast of new developments in rheumatology and is currently completing a university certification for the use of ultrasound in arthritis.
She is lead for Clinical Governance and therefore takes a front seat in ensuring processes for safe, high-quality standards of care are followed rigorously.
In addition to her clinical work Dr Bell is Secretary to the Midland Rheumatology Society, honorary consultant at the Birmingham Women and Childrens Hospital and is actively engaged in teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Above all Dr Bell is dedicated in providing her patients with the highest standards of care with a compassionate, personalised approach to helping her patients preserve mobility and function whilst relieving their symptoms.
Dr Bell lives on the Worcestershire/Warwickshire borders with her family and husband, who is a local GP, and when not in work enjoys gardening, running and playing the violin.
